Acupuncture is known for treating pain, but it is also a full internal medicine treating a range of health concerns that includes physical complaints as well as emotional issues. Acupuncture is an energy medicine that balances the whole body, mind and spirit.

No problem can be solved from the same consciousness that created it. ~Albert Einstein

Oriental Medicine and Chinese herbs is a vetted medical system based on medical knowledge dating back 2500 years. Acupuncture and herbs have widespread use throughout Asia, Europe, Australia and the US. Diagnosis and treatment is based on each person’s unique pattern of imbalance. By balancing the body’s energy systems, Oriental Medicine promotes the body’s natural healing ability.

An essential component of health are the foods we eat. Jean educates the client in Asian nutrition with lifestyle recommendations. She teaches self-healing techniques from Medical Qi Gong to continue the treatments beyond the hour the client spends in the clinic.

Deciphering Chinese Characters

Chinese Character: Grace

Grace

A Chinese character is comprised of several parts, pictures within pictures, called a character and a radical. Each component has meaning or may give the sound to the word. The sounds are often plays on words and the characters can tell a story symbolically and literally to create the meaning of the word.

My logo is the Chinese character for “Grace.” It is “En” in pinyin.

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart. ~Helen Keller

This character is made up of the radical “Xin” which means “Heart” on the bottom half of the character. If you look carefully you can see a heart with two chambers and arteries. The top half of the character is a box around the symbol for great. This is a pictograph that means “because of.”

The character for grace means “because of” “heart.” It is because of heart that we have grace and because of heart that we have healing.

My name Jean is Scottish in derivation and also means “Grace.”
